Destiny 2: what does the future bring to the Bungie shooter?

There is a problem with Destiny 2 and that is that the game is a bit too small. Gamers have complained that there are not enough new experiences for the game and the question is whether and how Bungie responds to this in 2018. Not that there is nothing on the schedule, because there is new content coming in spring. That content was recently accidentally put on a PlayStation web page, so we know more about it than possibly the intention of Bungie. In the meantime, the page has been taken offline again, but a Redditor fortunately made a screenshot of it. It can be read that it is the second dlc called Gods of Mars, which would appear in March 2018.

Your Guardian must look for a new location, The Frigid Vale or Mars, in this dlc. This voyage of discovery comes with new adventures, missions and enemies to fight. Charlemagne has risen again on Mars and has captured Rasputin. You have to work with the Aria Bray to take it against him and save Rasputin. In addition, new weapons, co-op activities, multiplayer arenas and a new enemy faction are added to the game.

The Dawning

That sounds all right, especially if this really only comes a few months after Curse of Osiris. We have just had the Christmas event The Dawning, in which mankind celebrates the Last City and can hold snowball fights, and there is a big appetite for more content for the popular shooter.

Bungie writes on his blog that at the beginning of 2018 private PvP matches will come to the game. There is not much elaborate about it, but a better reward system is promised and a big replay value for the strikes, adventures and lost sectors, which at the moment few fans know how to enthuse. In particular, the Prestige activities will soon be rewarded generously, which will hopefully enrich the endgame for ambitious players.

eSports

In addition to these updates, there is currently little clear about the future of Destiny 2. There is an expansion pass for sale for the first and second expansion, but Bungie keeps his lips together when it comes to the next steps of the game. Will Bungie make a bigger mistake to make this successor a big eSports game? It seems that the studio is working on that, given the addition of those private matches. But beyond? Is there a major expansion about that mysterious House of Dusk, about which Ikora Rey seems to have in a recording that was gedatamined from the PC version?

Or is Oryx not dead and are we going back to Hive Dreadnaught for these unresolved cases? In any case, the concept art from 2013 shows that there must be a fifth alien race anyway, that looks like black clouds or shadows. And then there is the end of the campaign of Destiny 2, in which a hefty hint is given in the post-credit scene with its black pyramid-shaped ships. It's all just guesswork, because as far as the future of Destiny 2 is concerned, there is very little mention - which may have to do with the fact that Bungie tries hard to listen to the feedback from the players and that the game tries every day better to make.

In 2018 there are at least many opportunities for the developer and hopefully also for all those playful Guardians.

What do you like to see in the outing of Destiny 2? Leave your fantasies behind in the reactions!

Thanks for reading.

Very nic post

It looks like a really interesting game. :)

I think this game has quite a following, even though I've never played it. But now I quite often look at various additions to games, and on the website https://leprestore.com/destiny/ I found Destiny 2 Hottest Offers. I think it can be quite interesting, especially if you really love playing this game. It's always cool to be able to add variety to the gameplay.
