Dead Space Games

This game series will keep you on the edge of your seat from the moment you start playing it until the bitter end of your character at any moment in time. As horror games go Dead Space games are one of the most atmospheric ones and are technically very smooth and playable as well. Our character through all three games is a space engineer Isaac Clarke who finds himself in the middle of strange alien viral outbreak that mutates humans and turns them into bladed monstrosities. The situation he found himself into is not great for his general health, just like partying three days in a row like I did. That what does not kill you makes you stronger, and that's the main theme through out Dead Space games.

Dead Space

First game was released in 2008 and has immediately caught attention of millions of gamers all over the world. It is all about the storytelling, and this is where Dead Space shines the most. Mysterious outbreak in a Science Fiction space setting where everything is advanced and alien, and add to the mix an engineer capable of scavenging and modifying all sorts of mining equipment and gear and turn them into weapons capable of cutting the necromorphs to pieces and you will get a nice mix of story and gameplay. Most weapons had vertical and horizontal shooting modes where you cut limbs of various grotesque creatures and slow their advance for your head. Very disturbing and promising first game.

  

Dead Space 2

In second game story picks up three years after the events in the first game and Isaac is now boarded on one of the Saturn's moons space station where another breakout of necromorph virus breaks out. Players can quickly find stasis and kinesis suit modules capable of stopping time on certain objects and thus saving Isaac from certain death, kinesis can propel objects though the air and help him solve some of the game's puzzles. All through game's levels there are stations where Isaac can upgrade his armor and upgrade more weapons and again dismember ever rising number of necromorphs.

Dead Space 3

Last game was released in 2013 and it takes place on an icy planet Tau Volantis where Isaac and his colleague was sent to stop the necromorph danger for good. The beasts are even tougher now and without all the tools on Isaac's disposal there would be no chance of survival at all. There is no HUD in any of Dead Space games, health and ammo can bee monitored on Isaac's armored suit and ammo can only be seen on the guns ammo counter, all that adds to unique and immersive atmosphere. 

This is one of the best SF horror game series you could experience in today's gaming and I would strongly recommend anyone to try it out.
