The first or the first Sony PlayStation was introduced to the world of video games and home appliances.

1 - The PlayStation was originally designed for Nintendo

This information may be shocking to many of us, especially from the tenth generation PlayStation 1 and enjoy a lot of diverse games that have been released on the device throughout the period such as Spyro, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy ... and other games lingering in our minds to this day even We hope to see her remake on the current and next generation as well, but the fact that Sony has manufactured the PlayStation 1 for Nintendo, where Sony had to make a model of the Play Station with the separation of the two words and delivered to Nintendo, which will take over Recycling large quantities of it and distribute it in its own name And the world as well as the matter in terms of games, but during the start of the Sony device manufacturing headed to Nintendo Philips and held it for the manufacture of a special convention of the games, which raised the ire of Sony and pushed it to complete the device manufacturing and proportion to it and launch around the world.

PlayStation 1 in a short period of time was able to invade the world as the first game consoles working on CD and displays 3D games while Nintendo began to suffer from the failure of the first device, which came to fruition cooperation with Philips.

CDs and DVDs are now characterized by their brilliant surface and this is what everyone knows about these discs, but did you know that the PlayStation 1 was black ?! Some may deny this and the reason that we in the Arab region rely on pirated discs and not the original, but if you want to buy an original copy of any game of the PlayStation 1 games you will find that the disc comes in black and of course expensive.

Also, while the other devices in that era were based on cartridge tapes with a maximum capacity of 12 megabytes, the capacity of PlayStation 1 discs of 650 megabytes, which means huge games and graphics strong and yet we have seen the presence of games with very large areas I remember them Riven game that required 5 tablets on the PlayStation 1.

5 - MGS game manipulated our minds on the device

Genius Hideo Kojima was credited with the success of the PlayStation 1 through the spy game Metal Gear Solid, which was issued on the device in 1998, where the game provided one of the first and best experiences of infiltration games, but also had Kojima touches strange since that time and one of the positions that Beat a lot of the audience of the game is the defeat of Psycho Mantis, who can read your mind and also penetrate your PlayStation 1 where you will not be able to defeat it unless you turn the console of the device and move it from the first entrance to the entrance 2.

Sort:

Playstation 1 was grey in America. Yeah, Sony had a deal to help in a Nintendo CD project but then launched their own console. Nintendo also chose to do the N64. I love the designs. The X. The square. Cleaver.

I remember that MGS thing about Phsycho Mantis. That was super cool. I also remember when the games had a plastic black bottom but I remember reading somewhere that since the data was actually stored on the top of the disk in a thin metallic bit, that this didn't actually offer added protection. I could be wrong about that.

That was a golden age of gaming... especially once you got a game genie plugged in the back and could rent all your games from blockbuster and simply burn a copy. (oopsie!)

Gotta love that Psycho Mantis fight. Kojima really knows how to shake things up with his games. Great article, matey!
