DOW1 had a good RTS design, and I am disappointed if the base economy has been crippled, but if the combat strategy is deep enough, it could balance out. I need to give this a try.
Still, in this day and age, the missing pieces will doubtless get updates and add-on packages if there's enough interest over time.
I fear bad reviews that the game is getting will cripple the growth of the game, but we shall see. Game is still worth playing for any fan of DoW games. DoW was epic, DoW 2 was beyond epic, DoW 3 is a work in progress at this point in time.
Public beta releases sold at retail price are becoming the status quo.
Early access games are filling the gaming market, looks like a new business strategy. Get more money to fund and improve the game over time.
