Gaming Meme - I Don't Know About You But Charmander Was An Easy Choice?
Hello Fellow Steemian Gamers,
I'm still at home for another day. Not really happy because I don't get paid for sick days and really can't afford to take time off right now but, my son is sick and comes as a priority so hey ho I'm at home.
Bringing you a quick meme today before a bigger post later in the evening.
Pokémon Red was the game of my childhood my sister got blue and we used to play all day trading Pokémon with a link cable and seeing who could complete it first.
I always went for Charmander and to this day he will always be my favourite Pokémon.
I actually prefer Squirtle. ;)

The first time "Charmander", the second time "Bulbasaur".
But my first pokemon ever was Torchick in Pokemon Sapphire on GBA Emulator.

Charmander for me aswell! Use to love this game!
The way I always saw it was:
-Squirtle pays off the fastest because bubble makes beating Brock easier (beginning of the game)
-Charmander is most effective against Grass-type (middle of the game)
-Bulbasaur, etc. are most effective against ground (beginning and end of the game)
Bulbasaur is arguably the most useful starter, but for some reason seems to be the least popular. I never chose it, but I couldn't tell you why...
Do people have some unconscious bias against plant-dinosaurs?!
Ok you have just made me want to play again and try this, you are absolutely right and i have never even realised.
I agree Charmander was the best pokemon to choose as I preferred having Gyarados over Blastoise and Jolteon instead of Venusaur. Like I mean once Charmander evolves to Charizard, boom there you have a flying type pokemon too, so saves you from getting a Pidgeot.
