These 3 Games Looks Interesting in Different Perspectives

"Here about the contract... Really got an imp problem? Or is that just an imp-erfection in the notice?"

-Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher)

The first time I learned that you can change the camera perspective in a game, first person and third person to be precise, I was quite amazed. Also, I think--if I'm not mistaken--that concept was a big thing that Rockstar Games had to delay the release of GTA V back then to add FPS-TPS camera perspective too.

Well despite being some sort of 'big thing', not every modern games have this concept implemented and that's makes me wonder how would it be if (some) games are not in their original camera perspective. So I Googled it, just out of curiosity ...and it wasn't disappointing. Here's what I found.

First Person The Witcher 3

Normally The Witcher 3 is an RPG in third person view. But a modder called SkacikPL let you experience The Witcher 3 through Geralt's eyes with First person mode mod. So you can't see Geralt dancing with his blades, but you can see how it is in Geralt's perspective ...it's dizzy, but also looks fun.

The first time this mod released the player weren't able to enter combat while in FPS view, but then SkacikPL worked on it and made several improvements for this mod. From combat capability, adjustable FOV, dialogue tree, and immersive lighting to make everything look proper through FPS perspective.

Use this first person mode mod along with this shield mod that allow Geralt to use a shield and you are no longer playing The Witcher 3, but a heavily modded Skyrim, congrats.

Third Person Dying Light

As you (probably) know, Dying Light is an FPS zombie slasher. This one is not a mod, it's actually available but only in custom map on PC. A YouTuber called SlenderDan shared a video of the whole stuff. As he stated in the video, there was something 'bothering' him in a video--Dying Light Bug Compilation, uploaded by Dying Light official YouTube channel, and did some digging.

Some of the function don't work, like the kicks that don't deal damage as it should. Most of the functions works pretty good, melee combat besides kicking, parkour, grapling hook, even the slow-mo when Crane cut the zombie's head off. It does look weird because it's not supposed to be played that way, but for a "weird" thing it looks like it could work properly if it polished a little.

Isometric Fallout 4

Unlike the other 2 games first person and third person perspective is available in Fallout 4, but many people wanted to see how is it like if it was in isometric view. This isometric view Fallout 4 screenshots posted on Reddit titled "If Black Isle made Fallout 4...". So a Reddit user called yttriumtyclief said in the post:

"As I was playing around with camera angles and other camera settings I got inspired to take some isometric screenshots of what Fallout 4 might be like if it was made by Black Isle."

yttriumtyclief taken these screenshots by editing the .INI file. It does looked pretty much like the original Fallout. But hold that excitement, because unfortunately it doesn't work as proper. It falls apart once you enter combat and anything else besides walking outside, so it also doesn't work if you're indoor.

Looking what countless of modders have done to so many games, I think this is possible. But until now I don't see any mod to play Fallout 4 in isometric view, so if you are excited with this you probably have to play Fallout and Fallout 2 instead to satisfy that need. Or if you've played that before and don't want to play through the same game again, Wasteland 2 is the game you need.

Note that I'm not whine like "Dis game sux it shuld habe been liek dis not like dat!", I'm looking for all this stuff just out of curiosity and share it here.

Fun fact:
Did you know that The Witcher 3's card game Gwent were made within only 3 days? Gwent creators, Damien Monnier and Rafal Jaki wanted to make a game within the game and was approved. However, they had to finish it within 3 days period. And you can guess what happens next. One of the best mini game ever made was created.
