Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia is a real-time strategy title from the Total War saga, which now seeks to focus on more specific historical periods and to further detail its setting. The video game will take us to 878 AD, when the Viking invasion of the Brittany ended. The dangerous Nordic warlords have defined their positions and are established, but the kings of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales have their own aspirations, fueled by the influence and power of King Alfred the Great of Wessex. The Britannia of that time, a furnace in which the present Great Britain will be forged, will serve as a framework for the most ambitious and detailed campaign map ever made in Total War.

My opinion after playing
Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia is a success at the level of popularity by Creative Assembly that has managed to launch a game of this theme at a time just in which it can be quite attractive to the general public for the series that we have already mentioned like Vikings or Britannia itself.
On a playable level the title stands out, above all, for offering us an interesting system of political management of "interior", that is, of what happens in our own kingdom, having to orchestrate marriages and be attentive to the demands of our governors, general and, in general, leaders of the nation if we do not want to provoke a civil war.
As we say, that is the most interesting part of a game that, for the rest, offers us all the fun and hours of play that gives us the Total War saga but that does not represent a sufficient evolution to be worthy of mention or in the battles nor on the tactical map.
Of course, this is a good game for lovers of strategy, the Vikings, and the Total War series but it is fair to say that, this time, Creative Assembly will not make history and is one step behind the extraordinary level to which It has us accustomed.
