There are players who play exclusively action multiplayer shooters. Then there are those who do not have much time on the games and therefore they only pay for the biggest and highest quality AAA hit. Well, then there are strangers who run a virtual farmhouse behind the monitor screen and lie down over the keyboard while looking at the perfectly cornfield. Bus Simulator 18 belongs to the very first category. But as you find out on the first ride with the virtual bus, the game can make you mysterious enough to forgive you for a while just forgotten about some God of War, and instead of giving up the Nordic gods, you'll prefer a short ... but a bus ride.

Bus Simulator 18 is the fourth continuation of the series, with the first part being released in 2008. Just as other simulators of different, at first sight of boring activities, Bus Simulator has roots in Germany / Austria and so is the map itself inspired by these extremes. This way you will be in big towns, villages, but also in motorways and rural roads. The map is not very large but offers a wide variety of settings.

At the beginning, you create a fictitious bus company that you will manage and manage for the rest of the game. You will be able to create and modify the routes of individual lines, buy buses, hire drivers and, in turn, perform various tasks that your assistant will give you.

The game now offers 8 licensed vehicles - from fairly compact Mercedes to harmonic MAN. The interiors are modeled in a very precise way and the driver's space is positioned with various levers and buttons, each of which has its function and you can manipulate it with a mouse pointer or keyboard shortcuts. At the stop, you must manually open the passenger door or launch the wheelchair ramp. The driving characteristics of the vehicles differ at least, which is a bit of a shame as it is a simulator. You will notice the difference especially in the radius of rotation of individual vehicles, and you will have to rehearse the reversed curves. You know how to visually adapt your buses to a certain extent. In addition to the color scheme and field, it is also possible to create custom SHPs.

But the bus ride itself is what you will enjoy most. You can enjoy the time spent behind the virtual wheel even if you do not like the simulators. Your task is to navigate by GPS navigation after individual stops on the route you have created yourself. However, you must monitor the time to avoid a delay or stopping too early, otherwise avoiding passenger complaints and penalties in the form of a crossed-out paycheck. To keep it that way, you also have to deal with traffic situations. Occasionally, a road accident, a constipation, or just a retarder is blocked for you to slow down.

You will also find some outfits that you should carefully avoid (although the game does not work in Slovakia, it would be an impossible task). Be sure to look at the correct direction of the wheelbarrow so that you do not catch the curb wheel or, from time to time, pull out the irresponsible wires standing at the bus stop. Traffic and drivers behave quite realistically and, for example, if you drop a turnout when you leave a stop, they will stop sluggish and give you priority. Many drivers in Slovakia could take an example.

A special category is then the passengers you come into contact with. As a driver, you also sell them tickets at the entrance. You have to enter the type and quantity of the tickets correctly and then give them a small one. It's a matter of a couple of clicks to the terminal that you have, but the number of passengers who are unable to buy the ticket in advance in the trafike has sometimes struck me. However, you can easily turn off this feature (just like many others) before each ride.

If you have enough time, you can pass the bus and check the ticket for a valid ticket. Sometimes you catch a black passenger who has to pay you a fatty fine. So, when I was driving behind my back, loud music from the headphones of the passenger began to play. While standing on the red I decided to check it out and there was a 70-year-old grandmother who was listening to metal for my fun. I pointed it out and checked it again later. Babka did not have it, so she had to call me 120 €. In German pensions, it barely bothered her ...

In addition, you collect garbage from passengers, or take them out of a bus with a luggage. Most of all, I've been "loved" by the brawny individuals who stayed in the middle of the half-bus door, staring in front of me. I had to pick up the ass from the seat, alert them, and until the door was closed and the bus could continue the ride. However, you will not be afraid of the people who are sucking the toluene in the back of the bus.

Passengers occasionally communicate with each other, but dials / monologues are average, sometimes absurdly stupid - "I think I saw UFOs." - "Was it a ghost?" - "Yesterday I bought a shampoo." At this point, you have a taste of stamping on the brakes, and letting them chew up empty virtual heads. While driving, however, you can turn on the radio and switch between about three different stations, but playing very ordinary music. It would be glad to have a chance to upload GTA to a folder with the play of your own songs. Alternatively, you can open the window and listen to the unbearably loud and monotonous cricket of the cicadas and stitches at night.

Nevertheless, the driving and driving experience is very interesting and especially amusing. The bus conveniently controls the keyboard and mouse. In the menu, you can still set your ride at night, during the day in the rain, adjust the length of the track, or choose the direction of travel. Of course, manual scrolling is possible. At the end of the trip, you can learn how much money or bonuses you have gained and how your business's earnings have been gained.

There is also a multiplayer in the game, so you can also travel with your friends or connect to a server from the list. You'll drive up to three other players together for one transport company.

Graphically, it is a game on an average level, and especially in the rain, it can bring a very nice atmosphere, but at the cost of a relatively large drop of the shot. Multiplayer is also able to choose his tax in frames per second. Overall performance is stable for the remainder of the game, and will also delight in the fact that you are shooting very hard on a bug.

Bus Simulator 18 is a game that builds more than a comprehensive management of a transport company on the overall feeling of traveling by public transport buses and all the driver actions that belong to it. In this way, he can also take on ordinary players, not just the simulators enthusiasts, for a short time. Playing on the bus chauffeur will breeze you after a while, and the game, in addition to multiplayer, does not have much to do. For the future, additional content in the form of a diametrically different environment and the extension of the fleet could be helped by more interesting, peaceful and outdated parts.
