A NEW GAME FROM VALVE! ALSO SOME GREAT TI7 SFM ENTRIES!

And no, it's not Half-Life 3. Valve showed a teaser for a new game on their dota2ti stream yesterday - Artifact, the Dota card game. They will release Artifact in 2018 as it's said on Artifact's twitter account.

We already have some information about the game from Day9, because he allegedly already played the game.

Those are still only speculations though. However Day9 said that there are three game boards that represent the lanes. You control 5 heroes that you deploy amongst different lanes. Pretty much everything you see in Dota is in this game. You can play creature cards and some cards are cast on the lane and have persistent effects on that lane. You equip item cards on the heroes that you buy with gold. There are also creeps that spawn every turn. Also each hero has abilities such as in Dota, like Bounty Hunter can cast track. You pretty much feel like a commander allocating resources.

I would also think that they will somehow implement the steam market into the game. We will see if there will be only cosmetics and shiny cards that you will be able to buy or it will be a pay to win game. However Artifact sounds really different than Gwent or HS and I think Valve would not come to so saturated market if they wouldn't have something amazing hidden in their sleeves.

I want to talk about one more thing in this post and that is Dota 2 short film contest. To be honest I didn't even know something like this exist until I saw it on dota2ti stream. I was really amazed by the community and how great short films they had created.

It is still not decided who will take home the main prize of $25,000 for the best short film, but I would like to present you my favorites. They are really amazing and you should check them all.
