CreativeConcepts: CustomCharacterCards
Following from our now 'open sourced' image of one Neve Merka

We would like to introduce a concept, something that we hope to be able to develop more fully, and in so doing, create a means by which players can greatly enhance their D&D experience.
This is the concept of Living Characters, something mentioned before, and our CustomCharacterCard concept which brings this idea one step closer to reality.
The idea is that players would be able to obtain a basic print-able version of their character, as a handy flash card.
There may be ways to issue this as a reward for players logging their character sheets (ideally with descriptions) tagging @DungeoneersGuild or #LivingCharacter, there after there is the potential to post the characters back story, almost like a #introduceyourself post, which can give some exposure to the newly logged character.
Part of our intended IP here is essentially 'the concept of logging the character to the blockchain and giving it a unique 'address', as well as the means that we intend to make use of this feature'.
Our prototype version features a space for an address bottom left. Though this may well change with later versions.
The idea would be to also develop a 'banner' for the character, that can be attached to posts that relate to that character.
Some potential benefits:
- A printed full color-flash card for quick reference to description, primary attacks and abilities, as well as features.
- Some bonus cards that could help keep spell pouch components, back pack contents and journals 'handy'
- A means to prove each level your character earns, and to potentially update their art for each level.
- A tipping culture, based around Ding! and Gratz/Gz which could incentivize logging character levels.
- A means to 'claim game time' via a #DMApproved #PlayerConfirmed model which could also be incentivized
- Never lose your character sheet once its logged to the blockchain, its permenant :)
Some Quirks that seem nice:
- Character levels are a 'limited supply'; each character can only ever get a maximum of 20 levels.
- Through this process we hope to grow and support an active 'character artist base'.
- Log your characters perspectives, don't know what to blog about?? Blog about your characters journey!!
- Sharing! The player can provably always own their character, but once posted, other people could use the character in a game of their own.
Without further ado: The prototype for CustomCharacterCards
This may well be a journey yet!!
But we may be onto something good here!!
All support appreciated.
Sharing the love of roll playing!
