Hola a todos gente de Steemit, el día de hoy les traigo un post para los amantes de la PC Gamer, hoy les hablaré sobre la famosa plataforma STEAM, muchos ya la conocen incluso la utilizan a diario, pero ¿Qué más nos ofrece la misma?, ¿Cómo funciona?, las repuestas a estas preguntas las encontraras en el siguiente post además de algunos consejos para potenciar tu PC y tener una mejor experiencia al jugar.

¿Qué es STEAM?

STEAM es una plataforma de distribución digital programada en lenguaje C++, se puede instalar es S.O. Mac, Linux y Windows, la misma es distribuida por la Corporación VALVE desde 2003, el mismo permite los servicios de servidor para multijugador de distintos juegos y softwares, la misma se puede descargar gratis desde su pagina oficial, solo tenemos que crearnos una cuenta totalmente gratis y ya podemos utilizar el servicio totalmente gratis. En la misma podemos recargar nuestra cuenta con dinero real, sea dólares o euros el cual utilizas para comprar las licencias de juegos y agregarlos en tu biblioteca, incluso países como Colombia, México, Argentina y Chile puedes comprar las licencias con las monedas de dichos países. Menciono que solo las licencias porque en realidad el juego no es tuyo, VALVE te vende la licencia que te da la autorización para utilizar el juego o Sistema, si el juego lo compras, tendrías que ir a la compañía que desarrollo el juego y comprar todos los derechos del juego, solo de esta forma el juego es tuyo, pero nadie gastaría millones de dólares para comprar el juego ¿verdad?, la licencia te permite hacer uso del juego.

¿Cómo Funciona?

La app tiene disponibles miles de juegos, muchos de los cuales son de compañías pequeñas y otras grandes como Ubisoft, Konami, EA y el mismo VALVE, con excepción de Blizzard. Cuando ya tengamos nuestra app instalada primero debemos recargar nuestra cuenta con tarjeta de crédito Paypal o cualquier otra, la transferencia es inmediata y luego nos vamos a la tienda donde encontrarás miles de juegos clasificados por sus categorías, precios clasificación de PEGI o incluso los más jugados de STEAM. VALVE también ofrece descuentos en muchos de los títulos, incluso hacen promociones de rebajas durante temporadas como verano o invierno incluso durante diciembre.

Qué pasa si no tengo ni un dólar, ¿Puedo jugar en la plataforma?

Por supuesto, existen juegos que son gratis por tiempo limitado e incluso mucho que son Free to Play, incluso el top de los más jugados están los free top lay tales como DOTA2, Warframe y Team Fortress, pero recuerda que no podrás agregar amigos incluso no podrás participar en los foros de comunidades hasta que no hagas una recarga mínima de 5 USD, en la plataforma los Free to Play son muy populares. Actualmente sabemos que los juegos nueva generación exigen una PC potente, eso lo conocemos como PC GAMER, son ordenadores con hardware potente, se clasifican como PC´s de gamma baja, media y alta, pero en la plataforma se pueden encontrar juegos de bajos recursos así que no obligatoriamente debes tener una PC de esas grandes proporciones, pero los recomendables es que tu pc sea capaz de soportar los requisitos mínimos.

¿Qué PC es recomendable para hacer uso de los juegos de STEAM?

Si vamos por un buen rendimiento, te recomiendo invertir en una PC de gamma media o gamma alta, pero si lo que buscas es algo de termino medio o más económico te dejo algunas recomendaciones:

1.- Procesador: solo existen dos fabricantes de procesadores, ellos son INTEL y AMD, yo les recomiendo INTEL por la cantidad de procesos que puede hacer, pero este es mas costoso que AMD, AMD la ventaja que posee es un mejor rendimiento en potencia gráfica. Para Intel te recomiendo usar I5 de 3ra a 4ta generación, nunca he usado AMD por eso no puedo hacer una buena recomendación.

2.- Placa Base: esto es lo primordial, tal vez pienses que solo cualquier placa base funciona, y eso es un grandísimo error, la placa debe ser compatible con le procesador que hemos adquirido, de los contrario te llevaras un espectáculo de corto circuito acompañado de humo negro y a veces llamas, ten mucho cuidad porque puede tirar toda tu inversión a la basura, si eliges primero la placa base, te recomiendo placas de socket 1155 y 1151 que son placas que poseen DIM DDR3 y DDR4 el cual posee una mayor velocidad, y más soporte para la memoria RAM.

3.- RAM: la memoria RAM (Random Aleatory Memory) el la memoria que nos permite hacer los procesos, es memoria volátil, es decir, si realizamos un proceso que consuma 400 MB eso queda en la memoria RAM, una vez cerremos el proceso la misma queda eliminada, claro, cada tipo de memoria RAM posee una frecuencia de velocidad, todo depende de la Placa Base que hallas adquirido, los socket 1155 usan memoria DDR3, este tipo de placas por lo general soporte hasta 16GB de RAM, ¿te parece mucho?, pues para los últimos juegos de esta época esa cantidad de memoria cumple con los requisito medios, no funciona para una mejor experiencia, además la velocidad del proceso de la RAM DDR3 es de 1600Mhz o 1033Mhz dependiendo del tipo de memoria, las DDR4 poseen frecuencia desde los 2000Mhz hasta los 4000Mhz, pero todo depende de la Placa Base que hallas adquirido. Si usas una PC de recursos bajos te recomiendo usar un total de 8GB de memoria RAM como mínimo si vas a jugar juegos de bajos recursos. Recuerda que cuando me refiero a juegos de bajos recursos no son juegos de la época antigua, juegos como Warframe, DOTA2, PALADINS, y muchos online no recueren de muchos recursos.

4.- Tarjeta Gráfica: aquí podemos inyectar los esteroides a nuestra PC, todo depende de la Placa Base que hemos comprado y del Procesador, si usas AMD puedes potenciar más la gráfica comprar una tarjeta ATI compatible con la placa base, o si compraste INTEL te recomiendo NVidea, incluso puede funcionar ATI. Las tarjetas de video poseen memoria volátil conocida como VRAM (Video Random Aleatory Memory). La nuevas tarjetas poseen memoria de hasta 8GB de VRAM incluso nos permite conectar hasta 3 monitores simultáneamente para ampliar la imagen para una mejor experiencia, pero sale muy costosísimo, mejor dejamos eso para las convenciones de videojuegos ¿bien?, para una experiencia agradable te recomiendo que compres una tarjeta grafica que posea un mínimo de 2GB a 4GB de VRAM, ten en cuenta que no solo es la memoria si también la resolución máxima que permita la tarjeta, por ejemplo; con una tarjeta de video de 2GB que soporte hasta una resolución de 2K me va mucho mejor los juegos que en una de 4GB que solo tenga resolución hasta las 1920 pixeles es decir Ultra HD, esto es solo para que tengas una idea, normalmente mientras más memoria VRAM posea más resolución resiste la misma.

5.- Periféricos (Mouse, Teclado y Auriculares): eso lo dejo a tu criterio, en lo personal uso artículos Genius y me van muy bien, si decides comprar artículos de estos de categoría gamer tienes una mejora en la experiencia de juego, en los mouses gamers de marcas como Razer o Steel Series puede tener mejoras como la velocidad de DPI al hacer clic si juegas a shooter como la sensibilidad del laser óptico, pero eso lo dejo a tu criterio.

¿No es mejor comprarse una Laptop o Notebook que una PC de mesa?

La respuesta varia mucho, aunque tampoco es una mala compra una Laptop o Notebook, la diferencia es que cuando te armes una PC de mesa o escritorio todos los componentes se van directamente al rendimiento, una PC de escritorio tiene un mejor rendimiento que cualquier Laptop en el mundo, pero si por ejemplo vas de viaje y siempre te estas moviendo constantemente o la usas para trabajar además de jugar te recomiendo comprar la Laptop, pero ten en cuenta los consejos anteriores, una Laptop también usa procesador, memoria RAM, incluso poseen tarjetas graficas integradas, esto lo dejo también a tu criterio, si es de Notebook te recomiendo MSI, son un poco más baratas que ASUS, MSI te puede salir desde los 900 USD hasta los 1500 USD, mientras que ASUS sobrepasa los 2000 USD.

What is STEAM?

Which PC is recommended to use the STEAM games?

Is not it better to buy a Laptop or Notebook than a desktop PC?
