For the past two years, I've watched as STEEM has grown and evolved, and the wandering bloggers of the days of yore have found their places in developmental communities, promoting new DAPPs and Steeming in new ways. It has been fascinating to witness such motivated development while our cash value is in such a slump. Those of us who believe whole-heartedly in this blockchain know that this is the time to buckle down, grind it out and take care of our futures.

With this post, I will link to all the STEEM games I have experienced until now. Many of them are not yet available in their full versions, but joining up during the early testing phase can be both extremely supportive and moderately profitable. Let's get to the games!

STEEM MONSTERS

Steem Monsters is the original granddaddy powerhouse of STEEM games. It was founded nearly a year ago by top STEEM witnesses @yabapmatt and @aggroed, and has been a STEEM staple ever since. As a member of the Steem Monsters team, I can tell you first hand that what's coming over the next year will blow you away.

Check out our brand new lore site, SPLINTERLORE. There you'll basically find everything you should know about the Splinterlands. We will gradually populate SplinterLore with all the stories, art, music, maps and more!

DRUG WARS

First of all, don't do drugs. While you're not doing drugs, you'll want something else to do, which is where DRUG WARS comes in. Build up resources like Drugs, Weapons and Alcohols to grow your virtual criminal empire. You can even battle your friends (or enemies) to steal their resources.

The Drug Wars company (FUTURESHOCK) has done an incredible job updating and balancing the game in real-time, even in the face of some incredibly harsh complainers and critics. I have high hopes that in the FUTURE, my virtual Empire will produce a nice residual income. In the meantime, the game is a blast! Check it out!

NEXT COLONY

This brand new STEEM-based MMORPG is taking the blockchain by space storm. It's release was highly anticipated, and in their pre-sale, some of the auctioned Legendary Uranium Planet sold for upwards of 10,000 STEEM.

Slow and steady is the name of this game. Right now, all the new players are scrambling to make the upgrades necessary to reach the coveted Explorer status. Get in early and get a head start.

STEEM ARENA

Customized Battle Robots. Need I say more? Obviously, I'm incredibly anxious for the release of this collectible robot battle game. For now, all you can do is join their e-mail list, assuring you'll receive the latest updates.

TWIN FORGE

Keep your eyes peeled for Twin Forge, a new land management game that will definitely be making a splash on STEEM. This innovative new game, led by @grid9games and @quantumnachos will prove that even a virtual world can give back to the real world. Twin Forge will play its part in saving our planet, and encouraging players to live consciously and sustainably.

Right now, early investors can reserve Cities and Towns or buy blocks of land, which are represented as tradable STEEM-ENGINE tokens. I'm proud to be one of the first backers of TWIN FORGE. I cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Even if gambling ain't your cup of tea, it has great potential for bringing in new users and familiarizing them with how blockchains work. I first learned about Bitcoin and Ethereum several years ago by playing dice games. Let's face it. Investing in cryptocurrency is pretty similar to gambling, which is why they go hand in hand.

moonSTEEM is a delight. Not only can you wager your Steemies (1/1000 of a STEEM) in a provably fair game of chance, but they offer multiple options for investing, or betting on the house.
