JOGCON "DID YOU KNOW THIS CONTROLLER THAT WENT OUT FOR PLAYSTATION 1?" ;)
GAMERS we go with a somewhat short but interesting post talking about a unique and rare controller that came out for playstation 1.
This is the JOGCON a controller developed by NAMCO in 1998 for the playstation 1 console, released as a special edition of the game R4: RIDGE RACER TYPE 4.
and was released and sold for a while in conjunction with the game R4: RIDGE RACER TYPE 4 because it was intended to be used in this game as a flying type that helped us to handle a better way the car, then it was compatible with other games and that made it sold separately and the controller could also be used as a conventional controller with the other games of the playstation 1.
as you can see in the image. You can see that the half wheel was used as a steering wheel and the acceleration and braking of the car would be done with the triggers because our thumbs would be busy with the steering wheel. For my concept is a little uncomfortable design and I think its low popularity converted or sold as exclusivity was due to its design.
I LEAVE YOU A LITTLE VIDEO TO APPRECIATE ITS LIVE OPERATION ;)

Interesting controller with a design with potential. However, from the video I agree that it needed some tweaking done to make it more usable. Too bad they didn't try again with a better layout.
