Life is Strange Before the Storm Review - Episode 2 Brave New World

After the Strong First Episode of Life's Strange Before the Storm, it's time to pursue the story. In episode 2, entitled Brave New World, what the consequences of her mood behavior are. That and how it goes further between her and Rachel you read in this Life's Strange Before the Storm review.

Episode 2 embroidered on the first part, which ended with the two ladies Chloe and Rachel who split a school day, which indirectly formed the beginning of a warm bond between the two. In spite of many dramatic and beautiful events, it is time to come to terms with episode 2 immediately. For a day of juggling, logically, do not go without cracks.

Reuse of locations

The ladies both receive punishment under the supervision of their parents, and although that seems to be promising a lot and you hope the level will be as good as the first episode, you'll soon come home from a cold fair. Because the next hour is pretty boring and rarely ranks the level of episode one and the first game of this franchise. And that's sin.

Chloe has to speak with her mother and stepfather, choosing chloe for the rebellious Chloe or a more friendly version, and from there Chloe falls away. Just like in the first game you get a scoop dump and you need to find some items to pick up a car. Although this is not very annoying to see, it is unfortunately that this puzzle element is much and much too easy. And reusing places you've seen in the first game is also not always exciting. Unfortunately.

Forced role

What's particularly annoying is that the episode seems to jump from the heel on the branch. Chloe has obviously issues, she is not so rebellious for nothing, and one thing she dealt with is her deceased father. In episode 1 he returned already and now again is the case. The effect in episode 1 is only better than now. It seems to be a little bit squeezed under the guise of 'this story should also be exposed somewhere'.

And if Chloe is on his way shortly with drug dealer Frank, you're scratching yourself all the way between the ears. For what is this episode about? The thread's story seems a bit lost, while the story with associated dialogues is just the strongest element of the franchise. And the new part, backtalk, is not always equally interesting with Frank.

Keep stuck in the middle leg

The issue of episode 2 seems to be the main feature of this issue, because Before the Storm will contain a total of three episodes. And this episode is exactly between the strong start and a hopefully equally powerful end. A bit similar to if you sometimes watch the TV series Game of Thrones. Once upon a time, the action scenes fly around your ears and another week you look at a rather boring episode, which suddenly takes a lot less (buoyant). What does nothing say about the whole thing again? Exactly that feeling gives episode 2 now of Life's Strange Before the Storm.

The whole center is moderate. And the typical episodes of the first episode, where Chloe places can be lined with graffiti, add little to it. The most interesting are the pieces on which Chloe is together with Rachel. Because the two want to get together. When Chloe arrives at Rachel, it is interesting because this is based on episode 1 and you are promptly wondering if somebody will be confronted with what you saw at that time. So that's exciting. But after that cover a table and all the elements in the house 'look' (apple egg) are then very dull.

Disappointing mix

The best part of the episode is the end, in which Rachel and Chloe are back together and their band is raised to a higher level and you, as a player, for the first time really feel that the choices you make affect the story. Because that's what you do in Life is Strange: Making conversations and making choices. But in this episode, they seem to offer little fascination to the end.

So fortunately that's the end, because that shows that we may still be able to experience some beautiful things in episode 3. And it's also that the music gives a nice atmosphere to the situation that arises. Because where in episode 1 the music was terrifying, you notice that in episode 2 during the game, too little. Only at the end is it alive and that's a lot too late.

It may be clear. Episode 2 is disappointing. It seems to be a riot of all kinds of situations, half of which is too brave or boring. Well, fun is that there is recognition in locations and people, which is a good idea for the player who played the first game as well. But the thread seems to be searching.

Life is Strange Before the Storm Review - Saved by the bell

Not until the end when Rachel and Chloe get together, the episode will only be really interesting, but then the caption will follow. It's a pity to see that after such a strong first episode the developers had trouble making a logical and fascinating whole in the second episode. But by a powerful end, i really feel and trust in the final chapter.
