A Group of Students 'Extra Ordinary Students' Are Trapped In A School And Told They Must Live The Rest of Thier Lives There, The Person Who Want To Get Out Must Disturb The Harmony By Killing Another Student. And so the School Life of Mutual Killing Begins.

DanganRonpa

It's a Visual Novel game series inspired by Ace Attorney trails. In this a group of students is trapped in some place and killing each other is the only way out, at first they work together to escape, but soon the killing starts and a class trial is held to find out the killer.

The game series is full of Twists as every chapter gives you a lot to learn, the mysteries are hard and the clues you find on investigation aren't enough. the Class Trial is always interesting and you really feel like you were there.

The game DanganRonpa is followed by the direct sequel Danganronpa 2 and a spinoff game set between them Ultra Despair Girls. The story is expanded upon in a lot of Novels and is finally concluded in the anime DanganRonpa 3 (and yeah, isn't the same as V3) which acts both as prequel/sequel to DR2 and the final installment of Hope's Peak Saga.

The recent game DanganRonpa V3 is a reboot of the series, and can be played without any knowledge of the series.

Be careful! since the game is full of twists even searching the title on Google might spoil the whole first game on you.

DanganRonpa V3: Killing Harmony

As a series reboot DanganRonpa V3 follows a different setting, school, and characters. It expands a lot on the gameplay and the anime style graphics and character designs look more gorgeous. And they added a "lie" mechanic!! Honesty was the only option in the previous games.

The game released on PS4 and PSVita in Japan at Jan 2017. and will be released this year (2017) on the 26th of September. The demo version was released on PS4, PSVita and the PC a few days ago on the 25th of this month, you can get it for free here.

The Killing Harmony Will Begin Soon!!

The Demo of DRV3

This 2 hours long Demo offers a self-contained story, with a Beginning. Exploration, a Crime, Investigation, and a Class Trial. you'd get to know all the characters you'll meet in the full game. But also you'd meet the protagonists of the first two games which are put in way that screams "Don't take this story seriously it's only a demo".

This demo won't spoil anything about this game or anything about the first two games other than things you'd know in the first 10 minutes of them.

In this demo, you play as Kaede Akamatsu, the first girl protagonist in the main series (the other was in a spinoff, and you'll hear the word protagonist a lot!!) she found herself in a school she doesn't know. then she met the previous protagonist there.

The demo story is similar to the other two games since all the characters don't remember how they got into the school. DR1 and DR2 had different reasons for that so If this was in the main game I wish DRV3 gives us a new reason for the memory loss too.

The characters are very interesting like the characters in the first games (their interactions alone can be a reason to buy the game). too bad that at least half of them will die in the main DRV3 game.

(please don't kill her... and defiently don't let her kill!!)

In this demo even the crime is made similar to the first game's first crime, I think it's intended. and the SAME victim died in the protagonist room like what happened in the DR1 demo.

(Yasuhiro, demos don't like you, aren't they?)

The Class Trial part of the game shows us what changed in the gameplay they added a lot of things that weren't there in the first two games, and they made the Non-stop debate more stylish!!

One thing that you might not like is that demo story is a fourth wall breaking, and while everything is interesting you might find some plot holes, don't worry because they stem from it being a demo and not a full game.

Also it ends in the worst part possible!! (I liked it until the end though).

Conclusion

I find this demo as the best cheap way for newbies to get into the series to know if they'd like it or not. as the it offers the best parts of the gameplay in all the series, the twists are silly here but are still there. and you won't spend a lot of time in playing each part of the gameplay.

This demo can be finished in less than 2 hours while the full games can take 20 hours at the same reading speed.

If you played the series before this demo is a great way to see what has changed in the gameplay of DRV3. or just to get introduced to the characters earlier than the game release.

So what do you think?
Have you played the series?
If not, did this post made you interested in it?
looking forward to your comments.
