Yes, to create an EOS account is so frustrating for me. In fact until now I don't have one. But I give this one a try since it doesn't need scatter or something like that to get into.
EOS will become much easier with the new integration with OAuth, like Prospectors use (Gmail integration), for now, on the test net (called Jungle Net). Basically something like SteemConnect but at a scale of ANY social media integration.
