Look at my Helmet!!!
Anyone who considers themselves a gamer has most likely played some of the Final Fantasy games. Well then you should recognize the awesome sight before you. That’s right...Master Gabranth!!!
This is an absolutely stunning prop replica from Square Enix and based on Final Fanstasy XII. This is a 1:1 scale Armored Helmet. It comes on a nice sleek black display stand. It measures roughly 15 inches high and has some serious weight to it.
This sucka is made from fiber reinforced plastic, utilizing CG graphics from the game, to ensure a perfect rendition from Akihiko Yoshida’s designs.
This initially hit hobby shops and collectors shelves in July of 2008 making this its 10th birthday!!! Yay!!!
These are extremely difficult to come by and when found usually fetch anywhere between $1500-$2000 plus shipping which can run up to $100 bucks as this thing is huge.
Sadly my biggest gripe is that you cannot wear this. Maybe my head is too big. I dunno. Now it’s time for my patented stupid surprised look selfie. If you want to throat punch me every time you see one of these on my posts, just comment below. Maybe I’ll do a contest for that in the future. 😜
I was always a fan of this character’s design. I also have the 1/4 Scale Statue that I’ll be doing a piece on soon. Stay tuned folks!!
wow this is freaking awesome. I have been a huge fan of FF since I was a young kid. Hope you enjoy it as much as I would haha. Very Very Very cool helm.
Oh hell yeah! Glad you are familiar with the game and character. In person, this thing is a mammoth monster. Looks amazing.
Wow that's freaking awesome but if I had the money I dont think I would purchase it unless I could wear it lol, great find @blewitt
Yeah I remember being a bit bummed 10 years back that I couldn’t rock this thing on my fat noggin.
I never played XII, but really enjoy those games! (Even though they are a bit too long for my endurance.) I've only managed to finish VII & X, but I've probably played 50% of 5 others lol.
I’ve never beat any of em. I’m terrible at completing games. I play the shit out of it and then life happens and I don’t touch it for an eternity. Then I get the itch and forget everything and also don’t want to start over so it sits. I’m stupid.
That's my exact process for most LONG role-playing video games.
Step 1. Start Playing
Step 2. Stop Playing 30 hours into the game.
Step 3. Forget every important aspect of the story.
Step 4. Think about starting over and then decide not to.
I still love single player games, but I think that's why I gravitate more towards non-linear RPGs like Skyrim or Fallout. I played the Dark Brotherhood questline in Skyrim first, took a long break, and was still able to hop in and enjoy the main story.
This is exactly what I do. Lol.
I love long drawn out games but my schedule does not afford me to invest the time needed. That’s why first person shooters and shit like that has kinda made its way into my favorites as I can just play a bit and if months go by before I pick it up again, no biggie.
Holy...!!! Now if only we can get a full body armor to go with it. 😁
Funny I saw this post while I was editing my Youtube gameplay video that also features the Judge Magister in the opening.
Badass! I would totally buy the full armor. Actually I’d love to see a killer cosplay of this at one of the cons I go to
