RE: GameCredits Review - Is It The Future of In-Game Payments?

in #gamecredits7 years ago

I love the idea of gamecredits but it's like you said, how can they achieve mass adoption and reputation with little understanding of the inner workings? Also, targeting emerging nations like India sounds great but in the respect of it's niche, what's the gaming population in emerging nations like India? I feel like there's too many unanswered questions. I could be wrong. I still love their niche and hope it is successful.

I agree, I really hope they have big success in the future, but personally I just don't see it.

I think targeting emerging nations is good because even if the gaming markets aren't huge there at the moment, it should increase in the future as the middle class expands and more people have disposable income to spend on things like gaming.

Joseph, great article you clearly did your research. Your points are totally fair regarding the blog, thankfully changes to the whole blog are planned for the next 2 weeks. As to getting developers on board, we will need significant partnerships with members of the gaming industry to make that happen efficiently... thankfully those kinds of partnerships are doable. You'll see more on that in the near future. But we've had dozens of developers reach out to us. The thing is. Having gamecredits accepted into your mobile game is as simple as uploading your mobile game to our store play.gamecredits.com. Like google play, we wrap every game with our own payment processor. You can see what that looks like here: https://imgur.com/a/yn3Lq

So game developers don't have a large task at hand. Gamers then just need to purchase gamecredits with a variety of payment methods like Visa, Mastercard, Discovery, Amex (and we just announced partnerships with PayU and PayTM the largest payment processors in India). Once they have their GAME, their wallets sync to our store and they can pay instantly within any game. But obviously getting people to recognize and use GAME over their current methods is still a task. We'll need a significant marketing budget for that. Thankfully we have between 25 and 50 million allocated for marketing which we got through the mobilego crowdsale.

Either way, I appreciated the depth of your article. If you have any more questions about GAME, feel free to let me know.
