Super Mario Odyssey - 2 Player Mode ?!?
Yup, you heard me. 2 Player Co-Op mode in the latest Mario franchise, the Super Mario Odyssey !
In this mode, you will control Mario's hat, Cappy; which will float on his head on this mode.
In this mode, Mario will retain his basic moveset as any traditional game would, while Cappy will be instrumental in performing complex movements that is usually not do-able in single player mode.
I think the most important thing is this, Cappy will be completely invulnerable so players need not worry having to blame each other in the event of death.
Kudos to Nintendo for coming up with this mode, this only means that Super Mario Odyssey will be tailored towards open communication as the addition of this game mode means that some part of the game will be tough to complete alone.
Nintendo is not abandoning their unique formula who place much importance on socializing and teamwork. I can't wait for this game already ! Gotta get myself a Switch soon !
