Blockchain and game, the combination has become not so strange in the digital era, with some outstanding names like Bitguild, Flux and ABYSS. These projects all use blockchain technology to solve current issues of the gaming industry such as asset ownership, the dispersal of game functions, and the like. In the past, gaming was considered as a useless activity, even social evil in some regions. However, things have changed, eSports is becoming now a gigantic industry with an admirable growth rate. According to the market research company Newzoo, revenue of eSport industry will reach 1.1 bln USD in 2019.

However, participants in the industry are still facing some problems, which Bountie platform heads to tackle:

Gamers have no way to monetize their skills and time spent on playing games.
Most games have a relatively short lifetime of 3-6 months, resulting in many risks for gamers when the publisher eliminates the game.

Bountie’s solution

Bountie platform allows players to make records, store personal details like skills, achievements, videos, etc., all of which are kept open to support both players and recruiters. Thanks to blockchain, data of those participants is stored securely, ensuring that no one can steal or change it. The huge gamers database allows Bountie to create a system based on AI in order to improve the process of matchmaking which helps players find suitable competitors and partners.

The project mainly focuses on Asian market, which takes up 47% of the revenue of the gaming industry (approximately 51.2 bln USD, according to statista.com). Asia - Pacific is known as the lucrative region of the gaming industry thanks to profitable markets like Korea and China, with the latter reaching 27.5 bln USD of revenue in 2017 (accounting for ¼ revenue of the entire industry). There is no doubt that the game industry and Asian market have great potential for blockchain-based startups like Bountie.

Darren Lee - co-founder cum COO of Bountie - is also the founder of Fixx Digital - the leading digital company serving corporate customers in Singapore like Changi airport, DSB Bank and Singapore airlines.
Jose He - co-founder cum manufacturing director - has 10 year of experience in enterprise consulting. Before joining Bountie team, he took the chairman position of Speaker & Trainer Association (an event organizer).
