nice that you have such a passion. I have also purchased an DSLR, a canon 100D( an old version, yes), and started to take some macro pictures. It's soooo amazing how a spider look like in macro, or how does a scratch on a cd look like. So, good luck on your journey.
I think that is a pretty photo and I only wish there was more yellows among the greens in both the clear and blurry areas, but such is nature giving what it has, really pretty shot still.

Is that a yellow hibiscus?
it has similarity with how it looks with the gumamela flower but it's not hibiscus.. honestly, i don't have any idea what this flower is called :)
