12 Orbs - Dev Diary 07.10.2018
As some of you might now, besides working on my model train I am working on a little 2D game.
The time has come for a little update.
New Features:
- Enemy nameplates
-- Displaying current health and debuffs
-- Special name plates for bosses and elites
-- Bosses always on top - Bleeding Debuff for enemies belof 20% health
- Glyph system
-- Glyps have their effect bound to the selected orb
-- Glyphs affect enemies and other objects around you - New dialog UI for better overview
- Some NPCs now trigger timed events. In most cases the player has to figure out what to do on his own
The demo looks so cool. I really like the bleeding and glyph features. What game engine did you use on this one? Great job, game looks fun!
Thank you for the compliments :)

Oh, an XNA-based engine. I'm trying to learn some gamedev too but I haven't tried XNA varieties yet.
Still can't get over that Glyph feature :) The mechanic seems fun to play. The game lighting is quite well-done too. Game seems rad overall. I hope you'll have a successful launch.
Launch won't be that soon. There is a ton of work on the visuals to do. Also all characters need to be recreated. But still a lot of fun to work on it :)

Thank you for sharing your work, it looks easy and straight forward but for every single movement you need to write I code and that is something that may take time. It was nice to know what new features you added and I like that dialog window. Good work and works really nicely on your demo!
