You nailed it. Could not have said it better, myself. I have a friend who was a narcotics officer in the Houston Police Department for over 20 years. He said there are 3 kinds of officers. When a gun goes off one thrird Immediatly take cover, one third go the other way and one third goes to the sounds of the guns. He has actually been in a number of shoot outs when things went sideways. Evreyone thinks they are the one to go towards the guns. Everyone is a hero in their own mind. Until the gun goes off, you will never really know who you are.
