[Technology] Send Someone Lemonade over the Internet?
Some of you may have seen the video floating around about how technology has been developed to send lemonade over the internet.
So, I will admit my mind went to some super sci-fi places. Like, woah, is this real? THIS IS THE FUTURE. But, really all it does at this stage is mimic the pH of the lemonade. Would that really make it taste like lemonade? Can we really call it sending a flavor? I don't know about you but when I drink lemonade I usually don't want to ONLY taste sourness. I want some sugar in there. That would be much trickier to pull off. However, I still find it fascinating and when you learn to swim you don't immediately try to do spins off a diving board so this could lead to some pretty interesting stuff in the future!
The company says they are currently trying to work on sending smells. I am not sure how they are going about that as it would seem much trickier that mimicking the pH with a devise but hey, they are the super smart guys not me. I will leave that hard work up to them while I gape at how super futuristic all this stuff seems. I was born in 1987 and grew up without a computer and just a house phone so it very much feels like growing up in the late 1800s and then seeing cars become mainstream. Like, woah. Sending lemonades over computers!? And virtual reality seems to be getting preeeeetty fucking cool. I haven't been able to buy my gaming PC and headset yet but I am going to be all up in virtual reality.

What do you think this could lead to as far as future innovations?
Some people in the comments were getting way ahead of themselves. Talking about how salad would taste like McDonalds and this could cure obesity but at least I could see where that guy was coming from another girl was saying how she can't wait to teleport her friends to her so they can hang out. Do you just want your friend's pH? You want to smell or lick them?I am not sure how you got transporting living matter from one location to another but okay.
Then there was a guy getting outraged at all the animals that would be tested in this "teleportation" device. Again, like, did these people not have the attention span to watch the whole 1 minute video? They aren't sending actual objects or beings guys. Just activating LED lights and mimicking a pH. But yeah, this guy was outraged at all the animals that would die for this "useless" innovation. First off, if we WERE cracking the whole "teleportation" thing which we are fucking NOT it would not be a useless innovation and also the only place you heard about it wouldn't be a viral 1 minute video.

Seriously. O_O So awesome. I might keep up on more new tech so I can blog about it more because this stuff is getting intereeeeesting.

Being able to send pH and possibily smells online would be pretty cool, will add a pretty decent something to those cooking and travel blogs/vlogs/sites/things XD
And how much more amazing would VR become? Might end up with a Matrix-like sim that people don't want to leave because everything seems so real in there if you have both the photorealistic (or more imaginatively perhaps something hyper-real and/or fantastic) AND the other senses are satisfied.
Hm I better not buy any VR games, it's hard enough getting my boys off the normal type as is XD

Omg, I wrote about VR and the smell thing and still hadn't quite connected the two. :O Oh man....that really would make it harder to put down the headset. Smelling the wilderness around you, the ocean. OH BOY. :D

Yeh the comments here are generally much higher quality, there's a chance it may even help me break my habit of skimming comment threads (specially when they're long) if I look at all :)
haha its enough to make me want to quit. XD I get so angry and disheartened in those damn comment sections. Was just stuck in one a minute ago and this woman was saying if you "dress like a whore" shut up when the rape happens. Like AGH. I want to constantly scrub my eyeballs. :)
