Dear Diary

Today's Date: 18 May 2040

At long last, the day is finally here. I've been waiting 16 years for this day. After 4 years of elementary, 4 years of low high school, 4 years of high school and 4 years of low college, tomorrow is finally my last day at Black Hole Low College. It's the end of our schooling and we are all ready to learn about our future at the Space Academies, or High College is the other name for it.
My Dad would allow me to take the new Jetson spaceship to school today, but I told him that I would just beam over instead. A couple of my friends and I will be heading out to Mars to celebrate after school is out. We have been saving our credits since the beginning of high school, 8 years ago. We do not want to have to worry about flying the spaceship home before heading to Mars. We want to go right after school is out.
We plan to get a full tour of the new domed city and definitely stop by the new Galaxy Pizza Parlor they just built there. Their ham and beet pizza is considered to be the best of both worlds. I have seen this new Jupiter Dog also, but that would have to be purchased next door at the Cosmos Kitchen.
My two bestest friends in the world, Barry & Cosmo, will be going too. They are a couple of crazy guys, but I've known them since first grade at the Milky Way Elementary School. Barry is the smart one, but I don't think he could get along without the rest of us. Maybe he's the smartest because he is an android. That's all well and good but sometimes he doesn't really understand everything that is thrown at him. He's a wiz in school though. It's the everyday things he has the most problems with, especially when it comes to picking up girls. We are a good trio of friends and we have always made a good team. For some reason, we just meld. It's hard to explain, we just do.
I am hoping that my girlfriend Star will be going also. She is supposed to telepath a message to me later and then beam to our house just before we teleport over to the Mars space station.
I hope it will not be too crowded at the space station and we have that 15-second delay again. The last time we missed our shuttle and had to wait an extra 30 seconds. All this wasted time. It's a miracle that anything gets done in these worlds. Things seem to be so slow when transporting between the planets these days.
We are also all going to be bringing our hoverboards to ride at the Universal Hoverboard Park. I still need to learn how to do that backward quadruple flip. I'm the last of my group to get it done, but I'm determined to do it this time. I'm tired of the guys making fun of me.
This trip will be our last time together for quite some time because we are all going to different Space Academies, so we want to make it the best time ever, without getting too out of this world. Barry will be going to the new academy on Mars, Cosmo will be heading to Denver City in the Mid-Federation area. At least Star and I will be going to the same academy, right here in Jackson, New Texas.
