The race for second place in the NBA's Western Conference is heating up!!!!
It seems that everyone in the west desperately wants to be the one to get smoked by the Golden State Warriors in next season's NBA Western Conference Finals.
Paul George practices the technique he will need to use next year in order to take the ball away from his new "teammate" Russell Westbrook.
As reported here first by Mr. League Sources himself the Houston Rockets were the first to strike in the quest to be swept by the Warriors next may. The Rockets took advantage of leaked information about a rule change.
Not to be outdone by their conference rivals, The Oklahoma Thunder followed suit and found another All-Star player for Russel Westbrook not to pass to. From 2008 - 2016, Russell Westbrook was the only man who could slow down the scoring machine known as Kevin Durant. No matter how hot Durant was in a game, Westbrook always found a way to make sure one of Durant's teammates took an incredibly ill advised and low percentage shot even if Durant were wide open. It helped that Westbrook himself was that teammate who took the inefficient shot.
See that wide open guy on the bottom of your screen? That is Kevin Durant. See that out of control bowling ball rumbling toward three defenders and throwing up a really stupid shot? That is Russell Westbrook. Does Durant look happy after the play? It's hard to tell.
After Friday night's trade where the Thunder acquired Paul George from the Indiana Pacers, Westbrook will have an opportunity to fulfill his familiar role of stopping a potent offensive player who happens to wear the same jersey as himself. In exchange for one of the top ten players in the league, Mr. League Sources reports that the Pacers demanded that they receive OKC's two players with the toughest names to pronounce and spell. As a result, Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis are now members of the Indiana Pacers.
Even with the loss of their best player, the Pacers are expected to contend for a playoff spot. That is mainly due to the fact that teams like Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Atlanta have decided they will only have 3 or 4 players on the court at a time in order to try and "out tank" their competition.
During the 2017/2018 NBA season, every team in the East not named The Celtics or Cavaliers will be replaced by the Washington Generals.
Some think the rule change that allows a team to use two basketballs at the same time will allow Westbrook and George to play along side each other. But that is ludicrous. If ten balls were allowed, Westbrook would still manage to find a way to keep all of them away from his teammates.
When reporters congratulated Westbrook on his team's huge move and the likelihood of him signing the league's biggest deal that will pay him well over $40 million dollars to play a game, Westbrook responded, "I am so angry. I hate all of you reporters. I want to take all of you and punch you in the face right in front of your children. I can't believe that just because I am sitting at this table at the front of a room filled with people who are paid to ask me questions and provide me with free publicity every day, that you have the audacity to ask me questions. You are all haters, who hate me. You hate my glasses with no lenses. You hate my stupid outfits. You hate my dumb backpacks. I hate all of you for hating me for hating you for hating on the hate filled things I say and do. I hate how much attention I get for wearing and saying attention seeking things. I hope you all get tumors in your eyes and your dogs all die."
When a reporter asked the follow up question, "Russell, why are you always so angry?"
Westbrook responded by spontaneously combusting in a huge ball of rage and flame.
Perhaps Paul George will be able to touch the ball after all.
Too funny! I like your style. Looks like for now on, you are a must read on my feed! Props!
Thanks. I think I am going to keep doing some satirical posts.
Mr. League sources... aka some agent. :)
