When The Bots Take Away The Rewards Pool

in #funny7 years ago (edited)

Instead of writing a long post, about how bots harm the platform and many of them are used to drain the rewards for the benefit of a few, I'm just going to leave you with this meme. It actually represents the current state of Steemit very accurately.

Totally right about this too. Its some what unbalanced and centralized, the very thing its not supposed to be. B well

Very funny tho.

Useless Machine

You can't beat a robot in this game...

... 50 years later, You can't beat a robot in any game...

Can this be stopped ? Can accounts be identified that do this ? Daylight robbery no ?!

It will stop is people stop paying them. I wouldn't call it a robbery.

How can this be fixed? Ban all bots (somehow)?

On a public decentralized ledger, no.

This is so funny and true :D

Dear @rossenpavlov, I have two questions: Are you a non self voter? Why is that @qurator and @originalworks are considered different? It seems just as contrived. (Am i confusing the term bot with something different? Seems too easy to do.)
Thanks
Joseph

There are many different kinds of bots on Steemit. Some upvote anything and everything (SPAM included) in order to get curation or if they are paid to upvote post. Other bots are actively on steemit trying to help users who create original content and could use some extra support from the community.

Right, is see the difference. I think I follow some that seem to get the first upvot every time. That sounds unfair. It also seems unfair if I activate @originalworks before anyone gets a chance to upvote.

I saw this post was featured in the Daily Qurator and thought it was a very funny video. It perfectly shows how we all feel when we see one of these profit bots grabbing all the rewards. Well done!

During the Middle Ages, cats were associated with withcraft, and on St. John’s Day, people all over Europe would stuff them into sacks and toss the cats into bonfires. On holy days, people celebrated by tossing cats from church towers.

While many parts of Europe and North America consider the black cat a sign of bad luck, in Britain and Australia, black cats are considered lucky.
