Tweets Can Be Memes

Every week as we get closer to the upcoming US election, things just seem to. be getting more and more ridiculous with politicians literally promising anything to get a the vote. This is not at all much different here on the Southern most tip of Africa, where we are about 13 days away from our national election. It's also much different here, protesting and rioting has become as blasé and is pretty much just another Friday. Here politicians have a track record of selling bull shit to the masses, like during the first free election back in 1994, when every single person was promised a free house from the government, I bet you can guess how many folks got free houses, well surprisingly 2.3 million low cost houses were built since then. Fun fact, the majority of those people who received houses more than 80% sold those houses. This time round we have promises of free land, because land is now the vote ticket item.

Getting back to the States, some of the proposals and talking points from almost every single democrat who seems to now be in the running for president, is pretty far fetched. Good old Bernie Sanders has advocated for allowing criminals to vote, which doesn't seem to be going down very well with most folks. There's also been a few who are calling for reparations to be paid to those who descended from slaves, and you will probably be seeing people being convicted for the crimes of their ancestors in the near future. This is how Trump wins in 2020, he literally has to sit back and do nothing while the democrats blow their own knee caps off with their insane leftist ideology.

We all thought we would be seeing flying cars in the future, but instead we have politicians calling for things like socialism and pushing identity politics.

Some of those 'ideas' are just talking points put out early in the campaign to see the reaction. Bad reaction? Stop talking. Though some of them can't. Stop talking. Trump may fit into that category, too.

What will sink the whole democrat ship will be the absurd call for impeachment by the Dems. The house prepares a bill of specific 'high crimes and misdemeanors' and the Senate holds the trial. It's a non starter in the Senate for sure and probably won't get out of the house. It's an incredibly divisive thing for our nation, and if you saddle that horse it damn sure better win or you will suffer the backlash. Moderate and smarter than average (which isn't a high bar) legislators will vote against.

But they keep hammering at it. That and the 'green new deal' which is deader than Julius Caesar.
