It is not because someone possibly good in some domain can say correct things abut anything.

By the way, Kaku is definitely not considered by the high-energy physics community as a prominent physicist... He even seems to be out of phase with most modern particle physics (for instance, cf. the Higgs boson story last year). I recommend the reading of this post by Jay Wacker that summarizes it.
