This is interesting and puzzling at the same time! How does this student walk about in the school? I assume that he/she has crutches. So, to go upstairs or downstairs is very dangerous with crutches. The person will have to take off the crutches and kneel down on the stairs instead!?
So, they don't have elevator in that school! Some one should just carry the student up the stairs!
The school has since been demolished, because it was moldy and caused health problems.
Has it? It's been condemned and will be demolished in the future. Last time I drove past it, it was still standing with the windows all boarded.

Tiirismaa junior high/middle school students are taught in temporary buildings. The city council has been hemming and hawing about what to do. Tiirismaa senior high/upper secondary school operates in a building where the Adult Education Centre used to be. Lahti Design Institute uses a building the city has intended to be used by the upper secondary school. Tiirismaa middle school is planned to use the Adult Education Centre building instead. Lahti Design Institute is supposed to move away from the city centre. I don't know where. But there is also a plan to merge Tiirismaa upper secondary school with Kannas upper secondary school. That could add a little uncertainty to the whole situation.
