RE: Some Last Words in the old before we start a new year!
Good to hear @smooth. Dialogue is what we want. I wish you would answer the question about where this hate comes towards the Co-Founders, noticed everyone has skipped that part of the question.
It irritates the hell out of multitudes of people around here to see a trail of whales flagging @dantheman or @ned. Not a troll-question either - and not fun to ask questions like this but they got to be asked.
If we can go into the new year, leaving behind all the "he said, she said" in this year, we may all have an extraordinary great year next year with less frictions and more positive productivity.
I am a human, I like peace and quiet, order and protocols, systems that work, and the way I (and many many others) have seen @dantheman being flagged to oblivion and talked bad about behind the scenes. What exactly is the problem - why is there still a problem, and when can you guys shake hands and cooperate with each other instead of fighting each other?
I for one want to know if there is going to be reconciliation.
It is natural to form an "insiders vs outsiders" mentality even through @ned and I attempt to avoid having things too much "inside" (maybe to a fault).
Disagreement is to be expected, it is how we deal with disagreement that determines the success or failure of the platform. This best thing we can do is avoid making judgements of peoples intentions. Keep things factual and look at actions and outcomes.
@dantheman Many of us consider ourself Beta-Testers of the steemit-platform, instead of taking the popular high-paying job of writing collusive arts and participate in the voting-guilds we look for cracks in the foundation and voice our opinions. In the past, those opinions got flagged to oblivion by those that benefitted from it, and I am glad to see that the level of maturity has come to a level where we at least can communicate with one another now without being afraid of "saying something wrong".
You are right Disagreement is to be expected, and I for one think that coming on @steemspeak and @beyondbitcoin and talk things out in public AMAs are sometimes more important then to write long papers about issues or ignoring the issues that our commonwealth - the community sees and talks about.
I can´t help but feel that my intentions have been misunderstood by the community-whales since day one - Yet I have never participated in "gaming the system" but rather the opposite.
If the technology underneath the surface was not good enough - I would not be here. In fact, I have a high paying job I wanted to recruit you to, but got so impressed by what you had created here that I did not even bother to ask you as I see what enormous potential this will have now and in the future.
If you had any idea of how few people in this world that truly understands cryptography from math to code to product from scratch, I can tell you that there is only a few handfuls, and they all have a desk full of requests.
That is why I do not want to see more hate as I call it coming towards you from whenever or whatever reason - because I know first hand that developers like you does not grow on trees and I do not want to see you give up, quit and move on as you are the single most valuable asset to this platform, and people should know that. It is true information.
Keep up the good work, the good intentions - live free and prosper and have a happy new year!
There is no "hate" that I know of (but then again I can't speak for everyone). Again you are being inflammatory. That doesn't mean people necessarily have to agree with everything they do or behave in an ass kissing fanboy-ish manner. No one with a capacity for independent critical thinking conducts themselves in such a way. The projects that are the most successful are those with an open exchange of ideas, including well-considered criticisms, and the best leaders are those who encourage and are receptive to such legitimate criticism and alternate points of view.
@smooth I know you do not speak for everyone - but dude: "ass kissing fanboy" - "You are being inflammatory" - Spare me for such accusations please, and take note of which tags this is posted under so you may "get it", my question was if there is going to be reconciliation?
Maybe someone else can answer that.
"A House divided cannot stand" - I for one do not want to see more division, the way the powerful collective act makes incoming investors scared. So maybe you powerful people should get to a good old round table and come to some agreements so that we can put this silly civil war like behavior behind us?
The community is growing, and to make this place trivial - we need and want peace, transparency and fairness. This is three things that you collectively can provide by a gentleman's agreement/round-table/peace meeting.
It is time to build bridges.
There is nothing to reconcile on my part, and I can't and wont speak for anyone else.
Thank you for your answers, and for your time @smooth
I wish you a Happy New Year :)
