I think these might be fly agaric, or Amanita muscaria but I’m not completely sure.

They are Amanita muscaria, and commonly called Fly agaric. "Amanita muscaria" is the scientific name. You can hardly mix them up with any other mushroom. ;)

I wouldn't eat it though.

Thanks, yes I'm not planning on trying it but it is interesting that they can be prepared in a way to remove the toxins.
