Get reviews and feedbacks from your Backers/Supporters
Your project should never be considered a one way street. You are not alone in this world and you are not alone in your projects building. Take everything that you can and experience the benefits of doing business with people because you are doing just that, working with people. Your project may be your idea but the realization of it depends on many factors including the people who will donate to it and help it grow. Those people can help you in more ways than you realize.

Think about your project like making a salad. You need two things; ingredients and spices. Ingredients are those things that you bring to the table. It is your plan, budget, idea, methods, and everything that we have talked about in many of our educational posts. But, what makes a salad are not only veggies, you need spices too or else your dish will be tasteless and pretty much uninteresting. Those spices are the info you get from your supporters and backers. You need to take what you have and what they have, mix it all together and create an amazing salad.
One of the beauties of crowdfunding on Fundition is that your project will reach people from all over the world. Those people have different backgrounds, knowledge, and experience. Each person you meet knows something you do not, remember? Use that to your advantage. We are often surrounded by like-minded people and always do things the same or in a similar way. Broaden your horizons.
Different people = different perspective
We are sure that you have a billion dollar idea and think you know everything and have everything that you need. Allow us to burst your delusional bubble, YOU DON'T. The thing is, you have no idea how people will respond to it and all you have to base your expectations on is your own opinion. Guess what? Your opinion is based on your perspective and not a lot of people (certainly not all of them) have the same perspective as you do. Different people have different perspectives and with those perspectives, create different opinions and ideas. Instead of excluding people from your work, include them in. Ask for their views and try to work with them so your project can get the best from everyone and become the best for everyone.
You will soon realize that a little cooperation goes a long way and that you have much to learn from others. We all do. Maybe cutting your costs and a new approach to marketing is waiting for you just around the corner. All you have to do is ask for it.
Now that we have (we hope we have) explained how you can greatly benefit from other people and their opinions, let's see the ways you can do that. There are many ways but we can neatly put them into two main categories; creative and promotional.
Creative and promotional helping
When baking cookies, a person can help you with mixing the ingredients, cleaning the dishes or watching the timer on the oven. That is creative helping but she can also distribute cookies once they are done, write about them in her blog as the best cookies she has ever tasted or leave a review on your website telling people how these specific cookies are what the world needs. Those activities are promotional. Same goes for your project. Your backers and supporters can directly give you feedback and share with you ideas on how your project can become even better or they can promote it with their reviews, sharing, and marketing activities. If you have a website for your project (and we hope you do), create a place for testimonials and reviews on it. You can also interview your backers and share their opinions. Directly ask them why have they chosen to donate and then publish their answers.
A good thing to do is create a poll or a survey to ask your supporters about their opinions and ideas. You can reach out to them with news and updates through a mailing list. Always make sure that your supporters have a strong feeling that there is always something going on with the project and update them regularly. In those updates, reach out to them and tell them how their opinions and reviews matter to you. Try offering rewards for each review you get and encourage them to share what they think about your project. You can also organize contests and shows to promote them where people will pitch you their creative ideas or promote what has already been done.
