How the world spins around is really breathtaking! Last year, when I graduated from the university, I pondered how I would help the poultry farms in Uganda, these farmers Invest fortunes in their farms but at the end of the day, the middlemen that get the deals in the market enjoy 60-80% of their profits. After thinking over my idea deeply, I literally knew I needed a funding so I do not know if I should call it luck but I stumbled upon Strive Masiyiwa (a Zimbabwean businessman) blog. In the blog, he explained how to raise funds by pitching your idea to Investors. Words just cannot explain how thrilled I was! after reading the blog, I plainly had a monologue that night of how things are working in my favour. The following day I made the time and surfed the internet so I was recommended to one of the crowdfunding websites in Africa. It is really Unbelievable that I had to fill a 15 paged answer booklet, It was a must for me to have team members (10+), I also had to upload a CV, picture, passport of myself and the team. When I saw this I deeply felt like "this is going to fail" since I was not ready to hunt down team members. Am pretty sure most of us have had such good ideas but we were forced to give up on them. What is crowdfunding?
