RE: ADSactly Fun - The Internet is broken??

in #fun7 years ago

Well...I think it's not a very big deal haha. I'm from Cuba :). I'm 30, but I lived almost 27 years without knowing what is to be "online" the 24 hours. In Cuba, as you may know, the internet access is very limited. And forget about a private connection in your home or phones, that's until today is like living in the Stone Age of the internet history. We are getting "better", but there is still a very long long way to the top (thanks AC/DC), if you wanna feel "online" in Cuba the 24 hours.

The "good news", is that we are perfectly used to. We of course know that having internet is crucial for a country development and we indeed have very organizations, schools, universities and so on with internet, but as I'm saying, in our houses or phones, it's a very different story.

At least you can have a meal with your friends or family in Cuba whithout this:

A very different story here in Ecuador were I live today. People here walk on the streets with theirs phones in front of their faces, like robots. That's dangerous haha. I think it must be a trade off between Human-Machine interaction and Human-Nature-Life interaction. It says a person that spends almost 16 hours in front a PC programming :|.

Nice post anyway! Cheers!
