The most important post in steemit history.
This was it, the holy grail of steemit posting, this was 42. This was the post that would make him a legend on steemit that would never be forgotten.
True he had spent hours in crafting the post and ensuring everything was perfect but once he posted it he would just need to sit back, make a coffee and watch the votes and comments of how in awe of him the steemit community was of him.
Finally he uploaded his image, even here he took care to select something that would be perfect.
(This is my photograph from the stone circle at Stonehenge on the summer solstice. This isn't the image used in the post, just a lowly tribute.)
Finally he added the tags, these were the optimum tags used to ensure it's visabilty and pressing 'Post' he wandered off to make a coffee.
Five minutes past but still he waited before gong back.
After ten minutes he couldn't wait any longer and finally went back to check out his post and the comments of amazement that was bound to be posted by now.
Something must be wrong as it was only showing 2 votes but four comments, clicking on the post he quickly scrolled down to the comments...

Funny but sad. I'm not sure how it was before I got here, but I've seen so much BS spam comments on Steemit ever since I've joined.
When I hear from older members like you I realize it didn't used to be that way. :/
I tend to ignore the spam most of the time, others are more active in downvoting.
I think it all started when they changed the rewards for comments.
What were the comment rewards like before? I have fairly little knowledge of what Steemit was like prior to January 3rd, haha
I think they were a lower % of the reward pool, they changed it during an update i think
