Shot in the dark.

This morning I was surfing the web and came across a brand I could get behind, decided to write them an email to see if they were hiring. Below is the email I sent to the company not really expecting a response.

Here is a short story for you, about a year ago I finally ponied up and bought myself a brand new pair of Oakleys and I loved them. Fast forward a few weeks and one thing led to another and they went missing. I spent hours upon hours searching for these stupid glasses that never turned up. I go out and buy the same pair for another 200 dollars so I am now 400 bucks in the hole on these stupid glasses that to this day I despise missing them more than I like them because of the money that was spent. Any way long story short if they cost the price of these glasses you are selling I would have bough the new pair and never thought about it again.

The point of that story is that selling quality glasses at a fair price is something that I can get behind. If you were ever looking for someone to sell at events in the Virginia east coast area I am interested.

Quick bio on me, I am 28 live in Williamsburg Va. I went to _________ University and studied business with a concentration in marketing. I am currently in the process of taking my final Spanish class to have my bachelors. I Was in the Marines reserves for 6 years. I have a background in working with customers and I am good with people.

P.S that second pair of Oakleys I got fell off my head within the first month and got a scratch right where I look out of. See it everyday, grinds my gears.

So that was the email that I sent to the Shady Ray company as a "shot in the dark" maybe they are hiring a part time events guy. I got a response later the same day, this was after I realized that the email I wrote to was supposed to be for athletes and such to promote the brand. Well turns out they gave me a shot too and gave me a promo code like you hear on the radio ha. Any way I thought I would share this story because it was something new to me and interesting. If someone told me yesterday that I would have my own promo code to a new sunglass company ... I may have believed them but would have called it unlikely. If anyone is interested they can Google the brand and do their own research on them.
