Friday's Rock
Here is my #fridaysrock post. This agate was a gift from my son. It is a treasure that sits on the table next to my bed for me to see each morning and each night. It is an agate that he found on one of our first trips rock hunting together. It has so many different details...and things to look at...that I never get tired of looking at it.

It is a hobby that I really enjoy...I especially like doing it with my son. I am going to try to post every Friday. I really enjoyed your post. Thank you so much for sharing it. I have been to many of the spots on the Michigan side of the Lake Superior Circle Tour, but to none of them on the northern side. I have added that to my Bucket List of places to go. An amethyst mine sounds like a great destination to me!
I'm more likely to see the shorelines around Manitoulin Island but I have never found such gorgeous agates. I do have a little bag of that amethyst from North of Superior.

This has so many different interesting angles too look at. How big is it? Are you able to see all these great details without macros? Macros are the best ... aren't they?
It is a little bigger than a walnut. Yes, I can see the details without the macro lens. That has always been my problem before I got the lens. I could see the details myself, but I couldn't seem to capture them in a photo. It was very frustrating because I couldn't show the beauty that I was seeing. The macro lens helps with that.
