Estava eu a rever as minhas fotos da visita ao Porto quando encontrei muitos edifícios com o típico azulejo azul. Juntei-os todos para mais uma vez celebrar a minha paixão por azulejos neste dia de #ColorChallenge #FridaySkyBlue.

I was checking my photos from my trip to Porto, when I found several buildings with the typical blue tile. I got all them together to celebrate one more time my passion for tiles on this #ColorChallenge day, #FridaySkyBlue.

Capela de Santa Catarina | Saint Catherine’s Chapel

Igreja de Santo Ildefonso | Saint Ildefonso’s Church

A Igreja Matriz de Santo Ildefonso tem cerca de 11.000 azulejos que ornam a frontaria e os lados das torres sineiras, da autoria de Jorge Colaço (o mesmo autor dos azulejos da Estação Ferroviária de S. Bento, no Porto), datados de 31 de Dezembro de 1931, e representando cenas da vida de Santo Ildefonso e do Evangelho. fonte

The Matriz Church of Saint Ildefonso has close to 11.000 tiles that embellish the front and the side bells tours, from the author Jorge Colaço (the same author of the tiles at S. Bento’s Train Station), dated from 31st December, 1931, and depicting scenes of Saint Ildefonso’s life and scenes from the Gospel source
