November Madness Freewrite | NaNoWriMo | Day 13 | 17 Days To Go

Tired as I maybe, I still managed to drag out a couple of paragraphs for my story. It's clearly mind draining to write on a work day especially with so many things to complete during the day at work. Told myself, that I should not give myself any excuse although it would have been easier if I could fine a voice recorder that can translate everything that I say into a written content. That way, only my mind and lips move.

Yeah.. I know I've been watching too many Marvel Superheroes movies.
Well.. What can I say, I wish such resources of technology is so readily available at affordable prices for us peasants.

Enough of me, let's share a glimsp of what I have on Satin Shoes.

“Just because I’m going away to school?” Leah cried. She picked up her dance bag and slung it over her shoulder. Her voice trembled as she went on. “I know what’s wrong with you, Clarissa. You’re jealous,” Leah accused suddenly. “I bet you-and half the other kids I know-would give their right arm to have a chance to go off and make a dream come true the way I do.” Leah’s voice rose a decibel with every word. Slowly a thought came to shape in her mind. “You know what else?” she said in a low voice, and tapped Clarissa’s shoulder with her finger.

Clarissa took a couple of steps backward, out of arm’s reach. “I think,” Leah fumed, her eyes flashing fire, “that you wish you were half the dancer I am, that you wish you were in my shoes right now. Maybe I’ll really get the chance to dance with some guy as great as Baryshnikov someday. All you can do is dream about it.” Leah planted her hands on her hips and stared at her friend. Clarissa shrank further backwards. “And you say I’m the one who’s not a good friend. A good friend cheers her friend on when something good happens.”
