Hook - a stream of consciousness poem for Freewrite # 193: hook
Greetings fellow Steemians! Here is my 50th 5 minute freewrite. (Disclaimer: these usually take me more than 5 minutes to write). The prompt is "hook". Many thanks to @mariannewest for hosting this daily freewrite!

Hook
It looked so good
Flashing its flutter
In clouds of sunlight
piercing the water
Promising something
New and delicious
Instead I taste metal
My own blood
And kisses
Of air too dry
For gills to breathe
The filling
Of somebody else's
Need.

Brilliant write, Bennett:)
Wow. And 😦
I'd upvote you but my votes are dust at present.
Hi @bennettitalia, I am running a regular curation segment on the Whaleshares discord server called literature corner. I have selected your poem to be presented in a live curation discussion on Monday 7th May. Your post will be awarded a 30 Whaleshares vote on the night. It would be great if you could come along and spectate or if you have a microphone maybe read the poem out and perhaps answer some questions about your influences/inspirations etc. The event will be held in The Curation Lounge on the Whaleshares server. Here is a link to a post explaining things: https://steemit.com/competition/@nikflossus/the-26th-whaleshares-curation-show-featuring-sirlunchthehost
