Be Always Prepared and Pack the Basics
Pack only the basics.
I wonder how many times mothers have uttered that phrase? As a child, the four of us shared a suitcase and three of us were girls. I always packed underwear and socks. Those seemed pretty basic. Mom would add a t-shirt and shorts. I was off. My sisters always packed hair doodads, curling irons, lip gloss, and later makeup. By then I had my own bag, which was always smaller and lighter than their bag.
Of course, I did have a moment of fashion sense when I had to wear specific shirts and pants. I could have been the poster boy for Angels Flight pants and Members-Only jackets. During this time, I requested a bigger suitcase. To me those were the basics and I was prepared.

ha. I always wanted to pack books.
That too. I'm now faced with the consequences of having too many Kindle books. It's gotten about as bad as my physical library.
@wordymouth Ha, but at least they take up very little space.
Many females I know have big bags for just a day travelling, they pack so many things they don't need.
Yours looks too different to be true.
Great one. Even today, when we are away for a week or so, we are packing like we'll be on a world trip. And every time, we are trying to pack less than the last time - without success 😂
Did you have pants like that? I did LOL.
One time, when I went to Germany, my suit cast got lost. In no time, my friends brought me all I needed. From that time on, I only packed shoes (my feet don't like most shoes and I have to be careful), underwear and a toothbrush. worked perfectly every time!!
I had a pair and I was the King of the Disco in north county at the Escondido skate rink and the school dances. ;-)
Good for you!!!! :)
Thank you so much for encouraging the freewriters!!
