Trying to keep my hummingbird feeder ant free
Below is my 5 minute weekend #freewrite on these three prompts: quit, syrup, and chalk.

As you can see from my photos today, we have an infestation of ants attacking our hummingbird feeder.
Not only are they all over the outside of the feeder, they work their way into the reservoir where the syrup is held.
The hummingbirds haven't quit coming around, because they keep drinking the nectar.
Debbie read somewhere that ants do not cross chalk lines, so after it stops raining, I'm going to put a chalk line around the hanger hook and refill the feeder.
I'll let you know if it works!

It is hard to keep them out....
You are so right about that...
Raining has flooded the ants and the spiders houses I guess... But do let us know if the chalk keeps the ants away.
