Below is my 5 minute #freewrite on today's prompt: our greatest journey

This past Saturday night, we were supposed to go to our greatest Journey concert ever, a free one, but it didn't happen.
Debbie's work Christmas party always has a great band featured, in the past we've seen, Earth Wind & Fire, Daughtry, Pat Benatar, and this year it was Journey.
We were planning on going to the concert but Maxine wasn't doing very well, and we wanted to spend one last evening with her, before we took her to the vets on Sunday.
Turns out that the security for the band was so strict that the line to get into the venue was enormous, sometimes a two hour wait.
So many people went to this concert there was nowhere to sit and people were sitting on the floor. One of the busses carrying employees from headquarters, got into a fender bender, and arrived after the concert had already started.
We were both sad to miss the concert, but I can see Journey any day, but I'll never get to see Maxine again. 🐈

My heart breaks for you! My eyes are watering just thinking about having to say goodbye to my doggies and it’s been a few years since the last one passed. I’m sure Maxine appreciated your choice.
