Remember the other day I wrote about a free gold coin I received in the mail, here's the post:

Well today I received an offer from eBay inviting me to spend some of my money, and they would give me 10% back in eBay Bucks, normally we only get 1% back. This is the only time I purchase on eBay, unless it's a very rare item, that normally isn't available. So today I looked for deals that offer the 10% rebate offer, and I found a Carson City silver dollar that was on auction that closes tomorrow. When I bid on auctions, I usually just bid the minimum so I can "watch" the auction, then come in at the last few seconds and make my final bid. That is called "sniping". They have programs that snipe, but I do it the old fashioned way. Anyway, tonight I had a mishap while bidding, I was entering a bid of $100 and mistakenly placed a bid for $1000. When I saw, "You are the high bidder at $105", I knew I messed up. I had to do a bid retraction right away and change that $1000 bid to $100. The problem is, eBay hides all the bid retraction info, so I had to go find it, so I could follow the directions to get the retraction accepted. I understand why eBay doesn't make it easy to retract a bid, but they shouldn't hide the instructions either. Tomorrow night I'll be on my laptop, trying to win that dollar at the right price.

Thanks @fireawaymarmot
good thing that you could retract it!!
Just one additional zero makes a huge difference. So did you manage to so the bid retraction?
