Day 85: 5 Minute Freewrite- Friday Prompt: corn

Mildred found herself taken in by a large corn field. She picked an ear of corn and began making a trail with the kernels, to find her way out. As she walked, more ears were picked and she placed them under her clothes and sun hat, because many kernels were needed for her long trail. She was amazed at the maze which was made by the maize. (try saying that 3 times fast).
Walking out of the field, Mildred lost her trail. She looked ahead and saw two skunks that had tagged along for a free meal. Not wanting to get sprayed, she extended both arms out horizontally and grabbed cornstalks; one in each hand, to keep her body steady.
Later that evening a special report came on the TV. The reporter stated, "A missing woman by the name of Mildred Westcock, age 90, has been found alive in the middle of a corn field. Her hands had to be pried from cornstalks she was holding on to and her clothes were tattered; most likely from many birds pecking at the corncobs she had hidden under her clothes. This experiment she conducted proved that even the most bizarre, old, gray haired scarecrow wasn't able keep the peckers away. What was she thinking?"
Moral of this story: Don't believe everything you hear.

Ciao my dear Italian friend! You are so funny. I love the way you brought this prompt to me. I see the word "bananafish" mentioned by you a few times. Did I miss something? Did you post about this? If so, please let me know because I would love to read about it. And another tip? I am not used to being on the receiving end and it sure is fun! GRAZIE!!! : )
Hi Dear! How's life ? :-) Thanks for the tip..I'll turn it to my Bananafish friends hahah. Well it's actually a joke, you can see it on my personal description. To be sincere, it was the title of a novel by J.R. Salinger, a very fine writer..and I like to talk about silly things. That's usually the way I tell stories to kids, inventing strange animals and creating a mystery around them haha ..GRAZIE to you!!
How's life? I can't seem to catch up! LOL! I will be sure to read about the joke on your personal description. I would love to be one of the kids to listen to your stories about the strange animals. I am sure you make them very happy. Hope life is treating you good. Until next time, my friend. : )
gyahahaha... Mildred... why? :D
When we lived in the countryside years ago, a cornfield is found at the back of our house. I used to catch frogs there for our biology class.. lol~
Oh, I would have loved that. Please tell me that you didn't have to dissect frogs for your biology class...please tell me no!
I'm sorry~~ huhuhuhu...
Oh no! LOL!
good story
Thank you!
