5 Minute Freewrite - Prompt: a special occasion
Since it is already a Ber month here I think the best occasion that I can share is Christmas.
Here in our country Philippines, Christmas or Pasko is one of the most celebrated occasions and also the longest. From the start of September 1st until the early week of January we still celebrate that.
We have something here that you will know that it is Christmas already when you hear Jose Mari Chan ( a singer in our country ) songs in the malls.
Also, the good thing about this occasion especially the 25th of December is we have a tradition that we will have a reunion with the family and we will be eating late night dinner or "Noche Buena". This is one of the most anticipated events here. Wherein the family members who are away will be visiting us or we will visit them for a change. We usually have foods like spaghetti, noodles, macaroni soup, rice cake and even hams plus quezo de bola. I don't know if we have an English counterpart of that quezo de bola though.
But yeah this is my share for the special occasion it is almost time good thing that I was able to finish it here without hanging. Btw here's a sample song coming from Mr. Jose Mari Chan and a meme from him too.

Thank you for that. We always look forward on this occasion, Christmas is really a positive occasion even if there's no food or other material things as long as you are together with the family that really matters. And the music definitely! Each year some artist in our local TV network are preparing for their special Christmas songs which we also anticipated.
