She threw a forgotten glance at the clock on her bedroom wall. 4:00 am Sunday morning. After a second or two obsessing how time had flown by, she pushed her laptop aside.

Her feet landed on her soft bedside mat. She needed to pee so to the bathroom she went. While her behind absorbed the cold from her toilet seat, she decided on a snack. After all, she had skipped dinner the previous night.

The kitchen was her next stop as she raided her fridge. She was looking for one thing in particular; a meal from her all time favourite chef.

After retrieving a familiar dish, she smiled at the hand made sticker. It read 'New recipe... Enjoy and share your thoughts. Love, Mum.

Her mouth had no patience for a microwave when she learnt it was her favourite meal. She only needed a glass of juice then sank on her kitchen floor to enjoy her mother's pasta!

I confess the guilt of not being able to do most of the recent free writes. It feels like I am dragging behind.
