Hear hear with your ear ear. Dear dear I don't know clear clear.
Okay. Enough of that. Going clear. Scientology. Eesh. Cults. People taking advantage of people. I read this interview with Jordan Peele and actors from Us and they were talking about the horror of it being the type of horror where you're faced with, like, the horrible things people do on the regular as just kind of a byproduct of being human, like, that your cell phone is made with parts in places where people are horribly treated, that kind of thing, and the actors and Jordan Peele, at one point in the interview, were talking about how people talk about Big Awful Events and say stuff like, how inhumane this event was, but in reality, that awfulness is in each human, it's all incredibly human. It's our humanness that lets us do awfulness, and in facing that we can also maybe come to terms with it and recognize that it's also our humanness that lets us do wonderfulness. And that reminds me of the book that I can't remember the name of right now, by the guy who's a security expert and it's all about listening to your senses to recognize danger...
And there went the timer. But I just wanted to finish the thought so I'll ramble a little longer...so this book by this guy, something he talks about in it is how the news and politicians react to awful events by saying that the person who perpetrated it was a "monster" and, essentially, how inhumane they were. But it's people who do awful things. Not monsters. People. We all have it in us to do awful and we all have it in us to do wonderful. And right now I'm reading the book Just Mercy and one of things the author says in the introduction is that he's convinced that people are not the sum of the worst thing they did. And I think that's powerful.
Beautiful thoughts.

Man’s inhumanity to man, it’s quite a difficult thing to understand sometimes.

That is an interesting thought - that
I guess we're the sum of all the things we've done. But hopefully the best carry more weight than the worst.
