Laughter
I love her eyes
the wisdom
the softness
the honesty
of her eyes
Her love heals me
builds me
saves me
creates me
I need her love
like a fish needs water
Her strength in adversity inspires me
Her silence when others would lash out
Her soft words when others would scream
Her perspective when others would wallow
There is a sound I search for every day
The sound that causes the sun to rise
Life to have purpose
Struggles to end
Pain to fade
The value of each day
is measured simply
by how often she laughs...

Excellent. I don't see too many poems in the freewrite, but this is great. Whoever "she" is must quite special.
It is our 17th wedding anniversary today @blockurator. She is quite special and I'm surprised that she has not already kicked me out ... :-)
